Secretary – The Lions Trust
The main tasks of the Secretary are:
To act as the first point of contact for those looking to join or or seeking information about The Lions Trust.
To ensure the FCA and FSA memberships are up to date.
To deal with any incoming or outgoing correspondence.
To work with the Chair to arrange regular meetings, including the AGM.
To attend all meetings and keep accurate minutes, notes and records.
To maintain the Trust’s membership records.
To ensure that the membership is regularly consulted and communicated with by the Chair.
To ensure with the board that the FCA and FSA rules are followed at all times.
To act as a joint signatory for all Trust financial matters.
The qualities needed to fulfill the role of Secretary include having a strong organisational approach, as well as being committed to the Trust membership, the FSA rules and the constitution that governs it.
Whoever takes on this role is looking after the interests of the Trust membership and more widely, the Millwall support itself.
The skills needed ideally include:
Good written and verbal skills.
Good organisational abilities.
Knowledge of financial arrangements.
Ability to delegate where needed.
Ability to lead and manage meetings.
Responsible to the board and the membership of The Lions Trust.
