Lions Trust – Chair
The main tasks of the Chair of The Lions Trust are:
To lead and represent The Lions Trust publicly.
To ensure that the trust works and operates within its constitution and FSA guidelines.
To arrange and to chair Trust board and membership meetings on a regular basis.
To communicate with the Trust membership on a regular basis.
To be a joint signatory for all Trust expenditure.
To represent the Trust in any ‘shadow board’ liaison with Millwall FC.
To report back to the Trust membership regularly and annually via the AGM.
The qualities needed to fulfill the role of Chair rest primarily on having good communication skills, being committed to the Trust membership as well as to the FSA rules and the constitution that governs it.
Whoever takes on this role is representing both the Trust members and more widely, the Millwall support itself.
The skills needed include:
Good written and verbal skills.
Good organisational abilities.
Knowledge of financial arrangements.
Ability to delegate where needed.
Ability to lead and manage meetings.
Responsible to the board and the membership of The Lions Trust.
